Objectives

Cultivate talents who abide by the laws and regulations of China, have good conduct and uphold academic integrity with a strong spirit of academic research. They will master and receive training in basic theories and specialized technical knowledge, and possess practical skills and necessary research capabilities in the fields of science and engineering. Being familiar with the current situation and development trends of the mechanical engineering discipline, they will have a certain ability to independently undertake scientific research, product R&D and technical management work, with sound physical and mental health.

Application Requirements

Be a foreign national, For Master's program applicants, the age is generally required to be under 35 and hold a degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree from a Chinese university; for Doctoral program applicants, the age is generally required to be under 40 and hold a degree equivalent to a Master's degree from a Chinese university. Applicants shall have good conduct, good health and abide by the laws and regulations of China as well as the rules of the university.

Language Requirements

Must meet one of the following conditions: English as mother tongue/official language, academic qualifications obtained from English-taught institutions, or a TOEFL score of 80+/IELTS score of 5.5 or above.

Signed copy of passport (applicants in China need to additionally provide a copy of entry visa/residence permit)

Notarized highest academic certificate and academic transcripts (translations in Chinese or English are required for documents in other languages)

Valid Physical Examination Form for Foreigners within 6 months (fully filled out, with photo affixed and official seal stamped)

Copy of HSK certificate or English proficiency certificate (if applicable)

Two letters of recommendation written by professors or associate professors in Chinese or English

Other documents: Applicants currently studying in China need to provide a relevant certificate from their host university; 5 white-background passport-sized color photos (can be submitted upon registration).

Admission Process

Online Application

Register an account on the ZSTU International Student Service Platform, fill in the application form and upload all application documents (Website: http://zstu.at0086.cn/student)

Comprehensive Evaluation

The schools offering relevant programs will conduct interview assessments for applicants in mid-May

Admission Confirmation

Receive a pre-admission email for confirmation at the end of June, and subsequently receive the paper admission notice and JW202 Form.
