President Qiu Songliang Attending Greek and Turkish International Education Exhibition and China-Greece University President s'  Dialogue

To promote ZSTU’s internationalization and development of international student education, from March 8 to 18, President Qiu, together with relevant personnel from International Exchange & Cooperation Office attended 13^th Greek International Education Exhibition held in Athens, Greece, and HIT International Education Exhibition held in Ankara and Istanbul in Turkey. During the exhibitions, hundreds of local teachers and students visited ZSTU exhibitive booth to learn about ZSTU history, its program characteristics, etc, and their questions are met with satisfactory answers.

During the period, President Qiu attended China-Greece University Presidents’ Dialogue, visited local Chinese embassy and consulate in Greece and Turkey, as well as University of Athens, METU, OKAN University, etc. During the visit, President Qiu had friendly discussions with the university administrations, and expressed the wish to carry on international cooperation with relevant universities and colleges in Greece and Turkey.

The participation of international exhibitions augments ZSTU’s reputation in Greece and Turkey. Meanwhile ZSTU has better knowledge of the development of local higher education, the students’ wish to study in China, and the promising market of Greek and Turkish students coming to study in China. In addition, ZSTU avail itself of the opportunity to perform exchanges with Greek and Turkish universities in the fields of foreign students’ enrollment, management, and higher education international cooperation. The trip turns out to be a fruitful one for ZSTU due to earnest efforts made by the ZSTU delegation. 

The education exhibition is organized by The China Scholarship Council of Ministry of Education, led by Li Jianmin, Vice Secretary General of the council, and comprised of Representatives from Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Nankai University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Xian Jiaotong University, Southeast University, Dalian University of Technology, Tianjin University, Northwest A & F University, Southwest University, Donghua University.
