On the afternoon of June 5th, a unique international student traditional cultural experience event called "Making Fragrant Bags with Skilled Hands to Send Health on the Dragon Boat Festival" was successfully held on the second floor of the Student Activity Center. Nearly 30 international students from more than 10 countries, including Russia, Bangladesh, and Malaysia, participated.
This activity is divided into three parts: Dragon Boat Festival knowledge popularization, knowledge quizzes, and sachet making. International students carefully watched the popular science video, which covered the origin, legends, traditional customs and other aspects of the Dragon Boat Festival. In the subsequent knowledge contest, the atmosphere was warm. The students listened to the questions attentively, thought quickly and gave answers, which fully demonstrated their love for the culture of Dragon Boat Festival.

Subsequently, international students entered the third stage - making sachets. Everyone picked up needles and thread, and with the help of their mentor, they carefully sewed various sachets. Sachet is one of the important traditional customs of the Dragon Boat Festival, which symbolizes the exorcism of evil and the avoidance of disease and the praying for health. And personally sewing sachets allows people to feel the charm and fun of traditional culture. Everyone enjoys mixing herbs, weaving colored ropes, and sewing sachets. When the handmade sachet is completed, everyone feels heartfelt joy and satisfaction.
This event aims to enrich the campus life of international students while helping them deeply experience the splendid culture of the Chinese nation. It is reported that this activity is one of the traditional Chinese cultural experience activities of our school, "Looking at Zhejiang from Zhejiang". This series of activities has become a brand project of national education for international students coming to China. On the Dragon Boat Festival every year, a variety of traditional Chinese cultural experience activities enable overseas students to learn about Zhejiang, feel Zhejiang, and perceive China through Zhejiang, an "important window".
